What is Tamarindo Active?

Tamarindo Active is a booking website for Tours and Activities. Here you can Search, Compare and Book all the Tours and Activities that have been listed by Tour / Activities Companies.

How Does it Works?

The way Tamarindo Active works is very simple.

Companies list their Tours and Activities. You, choose which Tour or Activity you would like to Book.

Why Should I Book My Tours and Activities through Tamarindo Active?

1 – The best Tours and Activities of Tamarindo is listed are Tamarindo Active and you can secure your spot by only paying a Small Deposit now.

How Do I Create an Account?

Very easy! Click in SignUp:

    Create a Username, type in your Email and create a Password;
    Choose “I want to Book a Tour and Activity”

You also have the option to Login with your Facebook, Google or Yahoo account.

Is it Safe to Pay with My Credit Card?

We invest a lot into ensuring both parties are protected from fraud and illicit behaviors. Tamarindo Active uses the internationally recognized and secure Stripe system to process all credit card transactions. Payments should be submitted through our online payment system for security purposes.

How Do I Book a Tour or Activity?

Go to the Tour or Activity page you would like to book.

    Select the Date and Number of People
    Click “Book Now”

The Company will check their availability and Issue the Invoice so you can proceed with the Payment.

Can I Contact the Companies with my Questions?

Yes.  A Contact link is displayed below the “Book Now” button and in the Company Area both in your Tour/Activity pages. Another Contact link is found in the Company profile page.

Must I Register to Book or Contact a Tour / Activity Company?

Yes. You must register with Tamarindo Active in order to contact or submit a Booking Request.

To create an account is very easy. Click in SignUp:

    Create a Username, type in your Email and create a Password;
    Choose “I want to Book a Tour and Activity”

You also have the option to Login with your Facebook, Google or Yahoo account.

What Happens After I Sent My Booking Request?

The Company will check their availability and Issue the Invoice so you can proceed with the payment.

You will be notified by email once the invoice is issued.

How Do I Pay the Invoice?

You go to “My Reservations” page, Clink on “Invoice Created – Check & Pay” and pay the Deposit Required to secure your Tour or Activity.

What is "Deposit Required" in my Invoice?

The “Deposit Required” is the amount you will be paying to secure your booking.

Is the Deposit Refundable?

Yes, the “Deposit Required” is refunded in cases where the Company cancel the Tour or Activity you have booked.

What is "Balance Owing" in my Invoice?

That is the Remaining left to be paid to the Tour / Activity Company.

How Do I Pay the "Balance Owing"?

The “balance Owing” can be paid in accordance with the Your / Activity Company and you.

In order to pay the “Balance Owing” before the Tour or Activity check with the Company if they have a secure payment system, otherwise the payment can be done at the Tour / Activity day. Your spot will be secured either way, once “Deposit Required” has been paid.

Can I send my Credit Card Details to the Tour / Activity Company I am Booking with?

When Do I Receive the Confirmation of My Booking?

Once you have paid the “Deposit Required” your booking is confirmed and secured.

Can I Book it When I Get There?

The earlier you secure your place the better.  With Tamarindo Active you only need to pay a small deposit in order to secure your Tour or Activity.

Can I Book Over the Phone?

No, Tamarindo Active is a online booking system. We provide a very user-friendly interface so you can Search and Book your Tours and Activities.

I Don´t Have a Date, Can I Book on a Open Date?

You must have a date selected in order to Book. However changes can be made in accordance to the Tour / Activity Company and their availability.

I Have Not Received a Reply!

You can always contact the Company again or email us and let us know so we can try and contact them as well.

How Do I Change or Amend My Booking?

You can contact the Company directly if you wish to change your booking.

How Do I Cancel My Booking?

You must contact the Company in order to cancel your booking.

Am I Eligible for Refund?

Your Deposit will be refunded in the cases where the Tour or Activity is canceled by the Company. Otherwise see our Cancelation Policy.

What Happens If I Cancel or Don´t Show Up for My Tour or Activity?

Tamarindo Active will charge you a Cancellation Fee, which is equivalent to the “Balance Owing” (See Invoice) accordingly to the Cancellation Policy stated on their Tour/Activity page and repass it to the Tour / Activity Company. If you have already paid the Balance Owing to the Company it is of their responsibility to arrange you a refund accordingly. See more in our Cancelation Policy.

What Happens If the Company Cancel My Tour or Activity?

A full refund of your Deposit will be done.

What is the Cancelation Policy?

Tamarindo Active allows Companies to choose among three standardized cancellation and No-Show  policies (Flexible, Moderate, and Strict) that we will enforce to protect both clients and companies alike. Depending on the policy chosen by the Tour/Activity Company you will be charged a fee for any Cancellations, or No-Show. The Cancellation No-Show Policy should be chosen by each Company and Clients can see them on the Tour / Activity page under Tour / Activity Details. In case of Company do not specify it is assumed and agreed the “Moderate” policy.

What is Tamarindo Active?

Tamarindo Active is a booking website for Tours and Activities. Here Tourists can search, compare and book all the Tours / Activities that have been listed by Tour / Activities Companies.

How Does it Works?

The way Tamarindo Active works is very simple.

Tours / Activities Companies create an account for their brand and submit listings regarding the services they offer. Those listings will be displayed on Tamarindo Active website and be available for users (Tourists) to book them through Tamarindo Active website.

Why Should I List My Tours or Activities with Tamarindo Active?

Tamarindo Active is the New Reference Place where Tourists will go to Find, Compare and Book Tours and Activities.

Here they will be able to select amongst ALL the Tour / Activities Tamarindo has to offer, at the end of the day there is no reason a company would’t list their services here.

Furthermore, With the amount of places and people trying to sell tours / activities around town in a overwhelmed and bias way Tamarindo Active is the place where tourists are able to freely choose which Tour / Activity really suit them.

How Much is to Submit/List My Tours and Activities?

You can Sign Up and Submit as many Tours / Activities you’d like. Completely free of charge! Tamarind Active though charge a small deposit (of only 6% of price) from the clients when they Pay their Booking Requests. See more in our Terms & Conditions page.

How Do I Create an Account?

It’s very simple. Click in Sign Up:

    Create an Username, Type in your Email and Create your password;
    Choose “I want to register as a Company”

You also have the option to Login with your Facebook, Google or Yahoo Account.

How Do I Create My Company´s Profile?

Login into your account and you should be automatically directed to My Profile page. Fill in all the details and upload a nice logo of your brand.

How Do I Submit/List My Tours and Activities?

Once Logged In into your account, click in your username located in the right top corner of your screen and then select “Add a Tour or Activity”.

Cancellation Policy.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Tamarindo Active allows Companies to choose among three standardized Cancellation and No-Show policies (Flexible, Moderate, and Strict) that we will enforce to protect both clients and companies alike. According to the policy chosen by the Tour/Activity Company the clients agree to Tamarindo Active charge a fee for any Cancellations, or No-Show from the same card they used to pay the Deposit. This fee will then be repassed to the Tour/Activity Company after the deduction of the Stripe Fee. The Cancellation No-Show Policy should be chosen by each Company and Clients can see them on the Tour / Activity page under Tour / Activity Details. In case of Company do not specify it is assumed and agreed the “Moderate” policy. See Cancellation Policies page.

What is Stripe Fee?

Stripe is the Online Payment System Tamarindo Active uses to collect payments. The Stripe Fee as of now is 2.9% + U$.30 per successful transaction. Note that the Stripe Fee can be changed without prior notice.

It is of the Tour/Activity Company Responsability:

    If the Balance Owing has already being paid to Tours/Activity Company to refund the client according to Cancellation Policy chosen.

Submiting My

Tours and Activities?

Description Page?

The first page you will fill in when Adding a Tour / Activity is the Description Page.

  • Create a Title which will convince people to click on your listing.
  • Choose the Category of your Tour/Activity.
  • As well as the Type. Is through theses selection that the user will get to your listing.
  • No max of people you can book for your Tour/Activity.
  • City, make sure to select the city from the drop down shown once it is typed in.
  • Use the Description to tell your potential client why he should choose your Tour/Activity amongst the others listed.

You must fill in all the fields in order to enable the “Continue” button. Click on it and Well Done, you created your Tour/Activity. Now go on and fill out the rest, the more detailed is your Tour/Activity the more comfortable someone is to book it.

Price Page?

Set the Price of Tour/Activity, in case you charge per person also fill in the “Confirm Price U$”.

Note that you can adjust your price per day in “Price Adjustments”. Click to select multiple days and modify price for a certain period. Or double click on a day to modify specific day only.

Images Page?

Use the best photos you have of your Tour/Activity. Upload as many pictures you’d like. The more the better. Not just pictures but you can upload a video that shows your Tour/Activity.

Details Page?

Here you will find non-required field to fill in. However, bare in mind that the more informative is your page the more likely someone is to book with you.

  • Duration (Hours) and Duration (Days) are numerical fields. Use “.”(dot) if is a fraction.
  • Retype the No Max of People so it can be displayed in your page.
  • Cancelation Policy – Type the option that applies for your Tour/Activity. See more in the Cancelation Policy page.

Features Page?

Here you can select what is included in your Tour/Activity.

What Happens After I Submit a Tour or Activity?

Once your Tour/Activity is submitted it will be reviewed by Tamarindo Active team. If it respects our T&C it will be published. If not you will be contacted in order to rearrange it accordingly.

Can I Edit a Tour or Activity?

Yes, at anytime. Go to “My Tours and Activities” page and select the one you’d like to edit. Be aware that once a Tour/Activity is edit it will be again reviewed by our team and will be subjected for approval.

With Your Account?

My Profile?

Here you can set up your Company profile page, which the link can be found at the bottom of all your Tour/Activity pages. Make sure to upload a nice Logo and write a nice description about it. Your contact info will only be displayed for whom has already confirmed a booking with you.

My Tours and Activities?

Here you will find all the Tours/Activities you have submitted. You can Edit, Pause or Delete them.

Add New Tour or Ativity?

Read the section above “Submiting My Tours and Activities?”.

All In One Calendar?

Here you will see a calendar with all Tours and Activities you have active as well as the respecting bookings.

Booking Requests?

That will hopefully be your most accessed page. Here you will find all the booking requested sent to your Tour/Activities. It is through this page that the invoice will be generated and issued.

My Reservations?

That is only in case you request a booking for yourself of another Tour or Activity.

Invoice?

The Invoice page is where you will see all the Submitted and Confirmed invoices.

Bookings Work?

How Will a Client Book My Tours and Activities?

In the right top corner of your Tour/Activity page there is the booking form. It consist of a Calendar and a No of People dropdown menu. The client going to pick a date and select the number of people booking the Tour/Activity and click on “Book Now”.

You will then receive an Booking Request email to alert you. You should then go to your Booking Requests page and either Issue Invoice or Reject Request.

Can the Potential Client Contact Me regarding My Tours and Activities?

Yes. In some cases they will have questions regarding your Tour/Activity. A Contact link is displayed below the “Book Now” button and in the Company Area both in your Tour/Activity pages. Another contact link is found in your Company profile page.

Note that it is against the T&C agreed by you to try and create communication outside Tamarindo Active website prior to any booking confirmation and it could cause in your account cancellation

Can I Call or Email the Clients?

No. You must use the Tamarindo Message system ( Inbox page ) in order to communicate to client before any booking is confirmed.

What Do I Do After I Recieved a Booking Request?

You should go to your Booking Requests page in order to Issue Invoice or reject Request.

Can I Include Extra Expenses / Services in the Invoice?

Yes. You can add as many extra expenses as you want, ie. Transportation. In order to add expense in the invoice you must insert the expense name and the expense value in their respective boxes next to the invoice (Under Issue Invoice at Booking Request page).

Can I Offer a Discount to a Specific Customer Only?

Yes. Next to the invoice (Under Issue Invoice at Booking Request page) there is a “Add Discount” box. Type in the discount value you wish. Note that the value of the discount is counted as a unit of Dollar and not percentage.

What Happens After I Have Issued the invoice?

Your customer will be notified via email and instructed to go to his Tamarindo Active account where they will access their invoice and submit payment for the deposit.

How Do I Know the Client has Paid the Invoice Issued?

You will receive an email confirmation and at your Booking Request page “Confirmed” will be shown.

What Should I Do After the Booking is Confirmed?

Contact your client and let them know about anything you believe is relevant for the Tour/Activity day.
