U$ 500

Tour / Activity Description

Tamarindo Diving offers all types of PADI courses: from the beginner to the dive master, from 8 to 80 years old!

With us you can learn how to dive and have fun at the same time! What are you waiting for?

Open Water Diver or OWD – Third step

After SD, if you want to improve your diving abilities: Another 90 min. theory at 2.30 PM at “Tamarindo Diving”.
– 20 min confined water: The day after the theory we leave “Tamarindo Diving” at 7.00 AM and we go to Flamingo; we take the boat and we stop in a calm and sheltered bay where we perform our skills. It is important for the peace and safety of the diver.
– 2 dives in the Catalina area: After the confined water we head to Catalina when the sea is calm, or to Brumel when the sea is bad (Brumel is sheltered from the wind). Then we dive two times, but not deeper than 18 meters (60 ft).
– We come back approximately at 1.00 PM.

(The third step OWD is the PADI most famous certification, recognized all over the world and it cost US$ 500.00. This is the cost for the whole package, step one to three. So if you already paid the US$ 150.00 for the first step, then the second step is only US$ 180,00, and then you only pay US$ 170,00 for the third step – a total of US$ 500,00 for all three steps)

Tamarindo Diving

My name is Davide Gabbi and I am a PADI instructor since 1999. I worked in Egypt (Red Sea – Sharm el Shake, Marsa Alam) for Empereor Diver, Ventadiving and Valturdiving. During the italian summer season I’ve had my own diving center in Otranto, Italy (Salentodiving). During the European winter I’ve been in Maldivian Islands (Indian Ocean) and Cook islands (New Zealand, Polinesia). I worked as a professional diver in West Africa (Congo, Angola, Gabon, Nigeria) and as a ROV pilot (Remotely operated vehicles) in Africa and the North Sea. And now I’m here in Tamarindo, showing people the beauty of this ocean while completely respecting nature, which here is almost not contaminated! My policy is “Safety first”, so we always take care to choose the perfect diving spot according to the weather conditions of each day. Also, we keep the groups small and easy to manage. I love what I am doing and I put all my passion into it – I believe people can tell and appreciate it! I hope you will enjoy the diving and snorkeling trips with us as much as I do!
